Re Traveling solo at Nusa penida 4 years ago Hi i'll be making a trip there too next week with another friend, and I have been asking around as well along with having the advantage of being local After some research, if you are going solo, i found that the cheapest option so far would be to book a Western Penida Tour on Klook for foreigner, including the boat tickets, driver+car, lunch. I checked and called them, and they said they will have a maximum 6 people of the tour supposedly 8hr long, they use Dwi Manunggal boats. I think it's a very good deal as the boat tickets alone will cost you 300k. It's an open trip, you can pick the date that you like. If you cant find it on klook, i can send you the link if you want. It's the cheapest so far, as other companies' online quote are crazy sometimes i saw a couple of website asking for 1million per person just for a day trip! It really is better if you contact the agent/company directly via phone which is probably hard for you to do until you are in Bali If you manage to have a friend with you, it'll probably cheaper to buy tickets around 250k-300k return sanur-np for foreign tourists, but this quote can vary depending on the company- Dwi Manunggal that goes to the Western port / Toyapakeh, charges 300k when i call their agent yesterday, and hire a driver off the boat for 550k-600k for the day to do the Western Tour. I managed to get a driver's contact through a friend who has used his service before and was quoted 550k, which is the lowest so far probably because i'm local though my friend is a foreigner and was referred by a friend. But you can easily get a driver and haggle. 600k-700k is the usual rate i heard, so even if u get it down to 600k, that's already very good. Hope this helps Edited 4 years ago Day 1 Arrival to Bali - Explore Seminyak NightlifeArrive at Denpasar airport, complete the immigration formalities & meet your tour buddy along with the group, followed by check-in to your hotel. Evening we will go to explore the famous Kuta nightlife & cafés. La Favela is a vibe & must at SeminyakDay 2 Nusa Penida Island - Diamond BeachPost breakfast, we will take the ferry to Nusa Penida island. The beautiful, exotic Nusa Penida island lies just 25 kilometers from Bali, the most famous tourist destination in Penida is a much smaller island than Bali, but it has some of the most amazing scenery in the entire Bali province which it’s part of. Today we visit Diamond beach. There is almost no network reception on Nusa Penida island - We will have to rely on wifi from the guest houseOvernight at Nusa Penida Guest HouseDay 3 Hike to the beautiful Kelingking beach Today, post breakfast we will visit the T-Rex beach or the Kelinking beach....take a lot of pictures and trek down to the beach which can be fun & challenging. We will spend the rest of the day at the beach. There are no watersports available here but the crystal clear turquoise water is irresistible, to say the least. Take our advice to be a water baby today. Sports shoes are a must for the hike. Take the evening ferry to Bali mainland, overnight at SeminyakDay 4 Suwat Waterfall & Tegenungan WaterfallsPost breakfast we start and head to UBUD. We visit the beautiful Suwat waterfalls followed by Tegenungan. Followed by check in to the hotel. You might want to carry your swim suit and play in Suwat. When in Ubud you shall try having a luwak in Ubud Hotel / Homestay Villa Day 5 Ayung River Rafting The most exciting day of our Bali itinerary is Rafting Day! The Ayung River which flows from the Kintamani high mountain areas is the longest river on the Indonesian island of Bali. It runs km from the northern mountain ranges of the Kintamani highlands. We do the rafting on this beautiful river which has plenty of rapids and waterfalls. You may want to also do the exciting ATV ride which is quite a fun thing to do in Ubud. It goes through dirt tracks, rice fields , waterfalls and what not. However if you choose not to do the ATV ride you can utilize this time to explore the Ubud market for souveniors / clothes and so much more. Overnight at SeminyakDay 6 Goodbye hugs & drop to airport Level Contributor 24 posts 2 reviews Solo backpacker 4 years ago I would be traveling alone to Nusa Penida in April and would like to sign up for a 3 days 2 nights package but those packages available restricted to at least 2 pax per booking. Anyone is planning on a solo adventurous vacation and as well looking for packages. Diving is out of my budget so maybe at least snorkeling with Manta or cliff jumping and hoping around would do. Or anyone has suggestion or information for solo backpacker please do let me know. Thank you and much appreciated! šŸ˜‰ Level Contributor 24 posts 2 reviews 1. Re Solo backpacker 4 years ago From what i’ve research. Renting a car with driver is expensive. Renting a bike is better but I don’t know how to ride one, or else i’m gonna rent one. Too bad Level Contributor 22,443 posts 91 reviews 75 helpful votes 2. Re Solo backpacker 4 years ago Hi joey, you've given very little info. People have no idea of your budget or your overall Bali itinerary. No idea where you are staying on Penida or how you intended to get there. Also as you said you don't know how to ride a scooter your accommodation location on Penida is important. PENIDA DRIVERS/TOURS Drivers on Penida and tour companies always play the minimum 2 pax scam. Only thing you can do is approach a driver whilst on Penida and haggle. LEMBONGAN No idea what your overall Bali itinerary is so no idea if you will be on Lembongan but do group snorkeling trips to Penida/Manta point for IDR200k. 3. There heaps of cheap places to stay where the boat drops you off. You can organise a very cheap 200,000IDR half day snorkelling trip which will include visiting the manta rays. If you want to want to get around the island, the cheap option is scooter otherwise yes it’s a bit expensive to hire a car. I wouldn’t organise a tour, I’d just catch the boat over to Nusa Penida from Bali you can buy ticket online and sort the rest out yourself. You can read about our manta experience and also getting around Nusa Penida without a care here Level Contributor 24 posts 2 reviews 5.
